FOX Sports Daybreak

FOX Sports Daybreak featuring Andy Furman and Mike North starts the morning off right, with Andy and Mike breaking down the latest sports news, information and analysis. Furman, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has been a strong voice in the world of sports talk radio for more than 20 years, with much of his time spent in Cincinnati. He hosted “Sports Talk” on WLW-AM for 18 years, and was named the “number one sports talker” in Ohio by Ohio Magazine. Most recently, Furman hosted an afternoon drive show on “Real Talk 1160” WQRT in Cincinnati. Furman has been a fixture on the network for over a year as host of a weekend show with former NFL linebacker Kirk Morrison, in addition to filling in for various timeslots and day-parts. He will continue to host his Sunday evening program which airs from 7 – 10 p.m. ET, 4 – 7 p.m. PT.

Two-time Emmy Award-winner and four-time Achievement in Radio Award-winner Mike North started his broadcasting career in 1990 when, as a hot dog vendor in Chicago, he suggested a new sports radio show to WSBC/Chicago management, also frequent customers. In 1992, the first Chicago-based sports radio station, The Score Sports Radio 820, was born, and North was offered a job to host a radio show with former Chicago Bear, Dan Jiggetts. They soon became “The Monsters of the Midday,” delivering a unique brand of opinionated, street-smart, sports talk to Chicago sports fans. In September of 1999, North began hosting his own show, “The Mike North Show,” Monday through Friday. Three years later, he teamed up with another former Chicago Bear, Doug Buffone, and the duo soon became known as “The Wise Guys.” In September of 2004, North moved to the mornings to host “The Mike North Morning Show” with Fred Huebner till June 2008.

North presently hosts several weekend programs for Fox Sports Radio and appears as a regular guest on Mancow TV on Ch50. He is also a columnist for the Daily Herald.
